188 - Shamelessness #2

Shamelessness behavior includes striving for power and control, rage,
arrogance, criticism, blame, judgmentalness and moralizing, contempt,
patronizing. These are ways we can transfer (consciously or unconsciously)
shame to others enabling us to avoid feeling our shame.

  1. This is a good definition of "Shamelessness"for me. I have been afraid of being shameless, because my shame tells me that I am "bad" so I could not look at "shameless" because then I would be the scum of the earth!...not just "bad".

After re-reading this blog, I saw "fear" as the basis of shamelessness, which I did not see before. I am not so fearful to look at my shameless behavior now. Thanks, it is good to re-read these at different times in my shame work, because I am at different places with shame and therefore can understand myself better and have more compassion for me and others...thanks again.
