215 - Shame is contagious.

All strong emotions, including shame, are contagious. We cannot be part of a group in which someone is feeling shame without our feeling shame as well. This usually occurs without our awareness.

  1. Our body communicates with itself without our awareness many times throughout the day. Do our emotions connect us to each other forming a large emotional body? If so, our community of emotional health is sensitive to us all. No shame or guilt need be felt here for our emotional outburst. Only awareness that we are interconnected.

  2. Our emotions do connect us tho I suspect there is a more fundamental connection operating also. I don't understand your statement fizziksguy "No shame or guilt need be felt here for our emotional outburst". "Only awareness that we are interconnected". Would you say more? I want to understand it.

  3. If one part of our physical body is ill, we do not shame/blame that part of the body. We hopefully try and nurture that ailing part back to wellness. If we, as people, are interconnected in a spiritual body should not the same self nurturing be in force?
